Boys and girls, from six to sixteen years old are invited to come along on Sunday mornings to try and enjoy the sport of sailing.  First timers will get a chance to join in with our usual group of budding young sailors who will take them out as crew for their first sail. The beginner session starts with helping other sailors and instructors rig boats then they have a short briefing before heading out on the water with new sailors acting as crew . all new sailors are introduced to capsize and recovery drills as part of their training drills on day one in the shallows in front of the club 
No membership is required to join in the beginners class
​Boats used are RS Tera / Open Bic / Laser 4.7 and Taz 


All children start at our level ONE, beginner sailor, with the opportunity to progress at their own pace to level three at which time they can join in our Sunday Youth Training Group who sail from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm . This group will sail on the inner channel as far as runaway bay marina learning sailing angles , speed and stability , Team bonding . To further their sailing career this session can lead to junior and youth racing  at P.P.S.C. and away Regattas

Junior Learn to Sail, is split into two, two hour sessions to match the skill levels. Each session includes briefing, on the water learning and lots of fun.

                                                                               10:30-12:30 for levels Four and Five. youth training !                                              
                                                     Booking :            required.

                                                         Bring :            Swimwear (including rashie), foot wear   
                                               We provide :            Safety helmet, PFD, sail boat and instructions.
                                        Facilities available:          Change rooms, hot showers and toilets.canteen for snacks

                                       Fee for members :            $ 17.00, payable on the day ( full junior membership including australian sailing number 145.00        
                                Fee for non-members :            $ 20.00, payable on the day safety helmet and lifejacket supplied optional!
