Although I was a bit late arriving on sunday everything was in full swing with as gemma said 20 junior sailors signed on for the morning which was definitely more than were booked in . To book in for sunday mornings it is preferred that everyone either text or call the club number from saturday afternoon so that we can check we have both enough instructors and available boats so remember everyone please book in .
I managed to jump on the boat with Jason and Taylah and it was great watching everyone cruising around tacking and occasionally swimming but at least the tide was coming in so not many choc tops! .
The training class had a few changes with jack getting his own open bic and Zach going up to lasers . Charlie took on the main group apparently practicing tacks and gybes as apparently the previous week things didnt go well much to charliess displeasure so it was punishment day on sunday. With Zach it was as expected a very nervous start especially as we were using a radial which really zach is a bit light for , but one of the best things about zach is the fact he listens and by the end of the session he had the tacks nailed and general boat control and apparently he reckons the definitely go faster than a Open Bic.
Next we we will be putting him in the 4.7 turbo so the learning curve will continue .
As there were not enough sailors for racing it was cancelled and just Casey and Steve went for a sail allowing the rest of us to go early which definitely made me happy as I was getting tired after recent events .
DONT FORGET please book in for 8.30 am juniors on the saturday to make sure there is a space for you
