8.30 am Sunday Juniors , We didnt expect a big crowd for our first Sunday back even though we had perfect sun and wind conditions but still we had ten sailors turn up for their sailing fix . With Kyle back on Sarah Cooper and Casey Charlie and Dan as assistants we had a great morning with light winds and a simple course across the channel . Everyone did very well with no collisions and just the occassional capsize generall on purpose because it was so hot! Did we miss Tianna ? yes we did !
10.30 Sunday Juniors ; With the winds turning e/s/e it turned out perfect conditions for all the ten thirty group to shake off the cobwebs . The winds were around 6 to 10 knots which were ideal for Cody and Dan to really get their lasers going and they both looked like they were really enjoying themselves . Ollie and Abbey gave the new Taz a go with both main and jib attached and they really got the boat going at times even the timing on the tacks with swapping both sails over just got better as the session went on . Casey joined in to practice roll and snap gybes and was really nailing them , I think everyone including the adults are going to have to watch here when racing beginns next Sunday .
PROPOSED JUNIOR RACING ; This program is for all the kids who have reached at least red band in morning juniors and would like to have a go at learning to race , racing will take place in front of the club and consist of basic sausage racing with a start and finish line and started with a flag and sound signal .
