Hi Everyone , Well with the TRS ( cyclone ) up north it could be a bit rough this weekend for Juniors and Club racing so keep listening to the weather and watch our facebook page for updates .
8.30 Sunday Juniors ; With Tilly bringing the rello,s along for a sail on Sunday we ended up with 19 Juniors in the first session and with the winds light ( 3/6 knots ) n/e it was perfect conditions ! oh wait I forgot the tide ( outgoing !) which innitially sent everyone south so Kyle and I were busy towing everyone back but eventually everyone managed to pick up the n/easter and get some sailing in .
Addy , Ava and Till continue to impress me with their growing skills ( time on the water guys !) and with the conditions it gave the rest of the fleet the chance to really start nailing their tacks and gybes . All in All a really good session .
10.30 Sunday Juniors ;
With the winds settling from the e/n/e Andrew and I set a off the breeze course with the top mark near the bridge and a leeward mark near one of the houseboats ( yes everyone missed hitting the houseboat !) The first start was abit of chaos with timing as Kyle neglected to tell us he didnt have a watch ? so we sent Casey and Sienna over to help out and away we went .
We worked on getting to the start line against current and with a bit of practice everyone nailed it with some really good starts , shouts of buoy room at the top mark and good finishes , I even saw Olly fist pumping after his finish , must have been excited . We are hoping to get this group up to speed for the Mid Winter Cup in June , should be awesome .

Open Racing;
With a few people away at the states we managed to have ten starters at the line for two short races down near runners where the wind was and also the current ! Race one saw John Townley take the lead early in the four lapper and was never headed with Andrew Roger and James in hot persuit . The Youth group also had a good race with one of the most spectatular finishes ever with Casey leading early then Dallas overtaking her only to loose at the line by a metre to Casey , yes racing is cruel sometimes Dal . Race two saw Charlie have a hot start breaking the line right on the gun but with not ebnough boat speed at the innitial jump hes was overtaken by most of the fleet early . Again John led the fleet  in front of Andrew Roger and James 9 new sail )but this time Casey didnt get Dal at the finish with him finishing about 10 seconds in front and Sienna Charlie and Pat following up .
Easter ; Dont forget the Club is closed over Easter !! ( we are going to Narooma to pick up the Yacht )
Volunteers ; If you are interested in supporting the club in volunteering for on the beach , Rescue boats or canteen just let us know
