Hi Everyone,
Mother nature did it again over the weekend with Saturday raining and no wind and Sunday wind and waves increasing to over thirty knots ( check wind graph ) prompting cancellation of Juniors and Club racing.
Hopefully the weather will be more agreeable next weekend (18.11.12) with the possibility of holding two races on the day to make up for last weekend . I will discuss this option with the racers on Sunday to see what they think.
The only positive thing to come from the weather extremes is that the 470 is getting closer to completion thanks to the volunteers:
Rob McNeill ( Sanding and fitting )
Dom Monaco ( fitting in the bow to undo nuts and loosing tools )
George Morton ( long skinny arms to reach inside the hull to put the washers and nuts on )
Tianna Bowles ( rigging with confusion )

I will be emailing our Fundraiser details via a flyer this week. I would like everyone to spread the word around as it is an open event with all funds raised going to the Children's Ward of the Gold Coast Hospital same as last year.
