What a great day last Sunday with a beautiful sunny day and good winds for both Junior Sailing and Junior Training.
There were plenty of smiling faces and some even funnier capsizes with some of our new students .
Club racing was a long drawn out affair with the racing starting in 3 to 5 knots and then dropping out and returning for the rest of the afternoon . Several competitors pulled out of the second race due to the slow conditions and barely returned to the club .

It was noted by the start boat crews that there was even a bit of dozing going on with adults and juniors trying to find a comfortable place to lay down in the quiet times (no bloody wind at all ) . Finally due to the absolute boredom being suffered by the safety boat crew it was decided to shorten the second race so we could get out of the sun. There's only so many jellyfish you can count !
It was nice to have our Junior Club Champion on deck for the day ( Dom ) and even Aidan was allowed a day off from Target although there was a lot of moaning about having to start work at 5am Monday ( no sympathy given ).
We have found out that even if you are nearly asleep the new Open Bics will sail you to the finish line ( nice one George ).
